As the Chief Procurement Officer for the State of Alabama it was my honor yesterday to attend Governor Ivey's Proclamation Ceremony during which she graciously proclaimed March of 2025 as Procurement Month.  I'm very proud to be part of this team of Procurement professionals and look forward to working with each of you to continue to elevate Procurement practices in the State of Alabama for all interested parties.  In the coming months we will be releasing additional training materials for our Procurement partners at the agency level with a focus on the Procurement law and our Division’s requirements for each method of Procurement, as well as continuing our outreach efforts to increase competition among our supplier community. We will also continue our efforts to work with local governments and other governmental entities to ensure our Statewide contracts are relevant and beneficial on a broad scale.  It's an exciting time to be part of Procurement in the State of Alabama.  Thank you all for your efforts to ensure compliance, for your application of Procurement ethics, and your commitment to the Procurement profession. WHAT YOU DO MATTERS AND WE APPRECIATE YOU!
